Happy September friends! I’m am so ready for cooler weather and fall and I am counting down the moments until we start seeing some fall here in East Texas, which sadly will probably not happen until November. The heat doesn’t stop me from fall nesting and just like every first weekend of September, I head to my favorite stores and check out all the beautiful fall decor. I thought today I would share some of my fall home decor favorites along with some yearly fall staples and a couple fall decor quick tricks.

Even though buffalo plaid/check is not necessarily fall decor, I do think any kind of plaid says fall. Better yet, black and white buffalo plaid works all year and I stumbled across these dining chairs online at Pier 1 and LOVED them so much and wanted you guys to see them.
I ordered two of these chairs because they are such a great price ($199.00) and I’m going to use them as accent chairs in a couple spots in my home. I sent the link to a client and she purchased six of them for her large white kitchen table that I will showing you guys in a few weeks after her kitchen is done.
When I went to Pier 1 this weekend, I saw a lot more great black and white buffalo plaid/check items in stock that I thought were so pretty!
Pier 1 also had these pretty watercolor buffalo plaid dishes that I thought would be so pretty for fall and christmas mixed in with white dishes or Christmas dishes during the holidays!
While I was at At Home this weekend, I found this gorgeous fall bleached wheat wreath that I just loved and I put it immediately on my front door! 🙂
At Home does not have their products online for shopping but if you have an At Home near you, I was surprised to see that they have a really pretty selection of dried wheat and eucalyptus wreaths that are so pretty (in the fall decor section).
Here’s a pretty 22″ bleached wheat wreath for those of you that do not have an At Home near you.
I love a fun fall door mat for my porch and I ran across this one cute on Etsy.
Did you know that Mrs. Meyers makes a fall pumpkin scent? Target carries it! 🙂 BTW, they also make an orange clove scent! Both smell wonderful and not only did they do a candle in the pumpkin scent, you can also get the cleaning products in pumpkin scent as well!
Some quick and easy ways to add a touch of fall to your home is to slip in fall faux branches/berries into glass jugs or vases. I love this look because it’s not heavy fall and just a subtle touch!
Slipping fall flowers like mums into baskets on your porch or patio is another way to add touches of fall.
By the way, check out my fall porch refresh from last year if you’re looking for some fall porch decor ideas.
One of my staples year-to-year each fall is I make big batches of my fall sugared pecans. They are SOOO good and I make them three ways (sugared, cinnamon and spicy). It’s hard to believe it but you would never know that they’re made in the microwave. They taste like they have been roasted for hours!
I would love to hear of your fall favorites! Do you have a favorite candle or scent in the fall or recipe that you just have to make each autumn? Share it with us in the comments so we all can see. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today friends!
Cheers!

So glad to hear I’m not the only one! LOL! I know it’s been around awhile now but I’m just coming around to it and think it’s fun to incorporate! 🙂

Love your style! Where is the buffalo check door mat from as well? Thank you!
Cyndy says
Thanks Kat! Unfortunately, the buffalo check under the featured rug is not listed in the Etsy store. However, you can find several different styles if you search “buffalo check door mat” on Google shopping. I hope that helps! 🙂

I saw all the black/white beauties at Pier 1, too and just loved them. The dishes and chairs so great. Black/white is always classic and year round perfection, goes with everything.
