Today’s post is sponsored by Delta® Faucet. All opinions are my own.
I recently went to NYC for the Delta®Faucet ShieldSpray™ Technology launch event at the Food52 Test Kitchen. Food52 was founded by former New York Times Food Editor Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs, a freelance food editor and writer.
Their Chelsea neighborhood test kitchen and office are a design and cooking dream space loaded with SO many creative kitchen ideas! Just an amazing space!
I have never seen a kitchen that so perfectly embodies both efficiency and beauty as was done in this space. From the combination butcher block and marble countertops, to the vast open shelving and wide drawers, I was beyond inspired! Spaces that are beautifully designed while being highly efficient are my spirit animal! 🙂
Food52 recipes and cookbook content are created and photographed in this space, so every design detail and furnishing in this space was meticulously chosen by Amanda and Merrill to be both beautiful and efficient.
The test kitchen was such an inspiration and treat for me to see and it was the perfect site for the launch party for the new Delta Faucet ShieldSpray Technology. Delta is always coming out with amazing cutting-edge technology that is both efficient and beautiful, perfectly fitting in with the Food52 space.
The Food52 kitchen was also one of the first to get the new faucet with the ShieldSpray Technology, so we were able to see and test this new technology.
Delta Esque™ Faucet in Matte Black.
I have a video at the end of the post that better shows you in action what the ShieldSpray Technology can do, but just to briefly explain, it’s a sprayer setting on the Delta Faucet with a shield of water that surrounds a laser-like jet that contains mess and splatter. In other words, when you use the sprayer with the ShieldSpray, the water doesn’t splash everywhere and the jet is more precise in instantly spraying food off faster and making clean up so much easier.
I loved the Delta Esque™ Faucet so much that I saw at the Food52 space so much that I recommended it for a client. We had the faucet in the chrome finish installed in their kitchen. It’s perfect for their space!
My clients (and dear friends) Stacey and Reed recently built a new home and their fabulous open kitchen was also designed to be both efficient and beautiful. Their kitchen is the center of the home and even though they are not using this space to photograph cookbooks, every little detail was meticulously chosen to be both beautiful and highly efficient for their busy lives and their love of entertaining.
Reed is a home builder that also designed their home plans. It’s one of the most well-designed homes that I have ever seen. They really thought of everything and more!
They made fantastic use of every square inch of space and I was fortunate enough to come in and work with them on all their interior and exterior paint color selections throughout the home.
I especially love the wide and deep drawers under the cooktop. So smart!
So efficient (and beautiful)!
The blue/green glass subway tile is another one of my favorite elements. Such a pretty color mixed with the crisp white and metal finishes.
The sleek industrial design of the faucet is the perfect complement to their beautiful white quartz countertops. You may have noticed that the faucet is a focal point of their kitchen island (and kitchen) and it’s exactly what this space needed!
This Delta Faucet is the Esque Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet Featuring Touch2O® and ShieldSpray™ Technologies in Chrome. The Esque Faucet comes in four finishes (Chrome, Matte Black, Champagne, Bronze and Stainless). The Touch2O Technology is so awesome because all you have to do is tap on the faucet and the water comes on. So if your hands are full of dishes, just tap with your hand, arm, elbow, etc. and the water comes on!
Just tap!!
The light at the base of the faucet shows the temperature of the water. Again, so smart!
Seeing the faucet with the ShieldSpray Technology in action will really show you what this Delta Faucet can do, so I made a video with Reed and Stacey in their beautiful kitchen! We made three different types of pesto for a fun appetizer tray.
Are you hungry yet? Our pesto turned out so good and isn’t that faucet so incredible?!
I hope you guys will check out this faucet for yourselves and if you want to see the finishes and all the options of the Esque™ Faucet, you can look through the collection on the Delta Faucet website here.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Thank you for letting me know this morning that the video didn’t load right for you. There was a glitch right after I posted it and it’s working now. 🙂

The faucet is wonderful. The pestos made me very hungry. I would love to know where they purchased their pendants if they don’t mind sharing. Their kitchen is beautiful and that tile is gorgeous. I wish they would let you give us a tour of the entire home. I’m sure it is beautiful.

Beautiful! Would love to know the dimensions of those pendants… thanks so much!

Thanks, for the info on the faucet. Going to do a kitchen remodel next year and will definitely look into this. One question, in the kitchen you feature, how do they open drawers and doors to cabinets without handles?
