It’s been quite awhile since I’ve done a Moody Monday and I have been wanting to talk about something that I have been seeing lately and that’s black mixed with indigo and warm gray. I’m still stuck on indigo and grays but I really love the idea of layering in some black into the mix because it adds that contrast and all of these colors together still work with almost anything.
Here are the resources on the design board (click number below image to go to product source):
I pulled together some of my favorite paint colors that would work in this color palette. Â These colors would look beautiful on a wall, painted on furniture or cabinets:
I’m obsessed right now with Rarified Air from Sherwin Williams and I am thinking about painting our guest room that color and then working in these other shades. Â So many possibilities here with this palette.

I’m going to try and get back to do more Moody Mondays and if there is a color combination you would like to see, I’m taking requests and would love your suggestions!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Cheers!

Thank you so much for sharing this today! I have a navy accent wall in my bedroom and my headboard is white velvet. I’m trying to decide on bedding for the cooler temps. I used white & navy through spring and summer but now I’m stumped! You have such a talent for decorating!

Thank you so much Pat for your kind words! I hope this mood board helps. I just really love that warm gray or tan in the mix with navy. Your bedroom sounds gorgeous! Thanks for your note!

I’d love to see a Moody Monday with teals and browns!

I have been seeing a lot of deep rich browns being used lately and I think that would be fun to play with using teals as well. Stay tuned Jolyn and I’ll start working on one. Thanks for your note!

We are moving to an apartment (actually excited to downsize) and I purchased a new gray tweed-like upholstered bed. I love the bed and love dark blue, but I was stumped to understand how I could use those two items to put together a color for the ‘whole house/apartment’. You nailed it for me! I’ve gone from angst to excitement for finding what I love for all other furniture and accents.
Thank you !

Hi Cyndy, I have painted an entry way bench in a deep blue. My living room furniture is a tan/grey, entry way rug is a lighter blue. I am making a small pillow from one of the larger ones that came with the sofa to put on the bench. Without painting the walls (it’s a rental), how do I decorate the bench? It does have open shelves.
