Every year, I love to do a round-up of wallpapers and take a closer look at the trends and what’s new. There are so many beautiful papers out right now and creative possibilities and that I can’t wait to share with you some of the amazing papers I have come across.
Metallic Papers
I’m still loving the metallic papers that I highlighted for Wallpaper Crush last year and these papers are still really popular. The neutral metallics are such a great way to keep walls calm/neutral but the metallic adds a little spice. Throw in some bold colored pillows and accents and these papers become really versatile for layering a room.
If you’re looking for more neutrals/metallics, you can look through those papers I highlighted last year by clicking the image below:
Geometric Patterns
Geometric patterns are still probably the most popular wall covering trend over the last few years and the patterns coming out today just get better and bolder.
Graham & Brown has come out with designer Kelly Hoppen’s recent collection for G&B and I am especially loving the pattern “Kelly’s Ikat in Prussian Blue“:

Kelly’s Ikat is also available in soft gray:

Thibaut papers and fabric are always so amazing and gorgeous! The Thibaut Bungalow pattern is stunning and it comes in several different colorways. I’m not a huge yellow fan but this paper could convince me to give it a try:

There are five colors in the Thibaut Bungalow pattern and if you’re interested in this pattern, I found it on sale at Wallpaper Direct here.
I’m also loving the more subtle Thibaut LaFarge pattern that comes ten beautiful colorways. The LaFarge paper is a great way to incorporate a little color and lighten up a space but it’s still subtle enough to allow for layering bolder fabrics/patterns in a space:

You can see all of the LaFarge colorways on Thibaut’s website here.
Flocked Velvet
I’m so excited to see that the flocked velvet papers are also starting to make a big comeback but in a more modern way. The contrast of the paper with the raised velvet, mixed with the new modern twists just looks amazing!
Here are a few of my favorites:

Flocked papers really add so much interest, texture and color to wall and as I see how these papers are really evolving lately, I really think they are really going to be one of the biggest trends going into to the next couple of years:
Animal Prints
Of course, animal prints remain another huge trend but the design, colors and patterns just keep evolving and it makes me love it more an more.
Schumacher is another one of my favorite wallcovering (and fabric) companies and I was really excited to see their collection celebrating their 125th anniversary. They brought back the Iconic Leopard pattern (both wallcovering and fabric) that they produced back in the 70’s and it’s of course “Iconic” and I would love to use it somewhere in my home:

My favorite color way in the Iconic Leopard is ink (navy):

here it is in linen:

I found the Iconic Leopard on sale here on Lynn Chalk for $59.00 a roll. If you’re interested in see all of the Iconic Leopard colors, you can find that here.
Grasscloth
Grasscloth is also still being used so much right now but I have been noticing lately that designers are using darker grasscloth and grasscloth with patterns that really look so stunning:
I could go on and on sharing gorgeous papers because right now, there is so much good stuff out there! If you want to see more amazing papers, you can check out my Wallpaper Love board on Pinterest here.
Thanks so much for stopping by friends!

I’m so surprised by the use of grasscloth in bathrooms. Is there some new process that makes it more sturdy than the grasscloth of the mid-century? All these are gorgeous; thanks so much for taking the time to suss out the trends.
