I’m trying out a new feature today called “Weekend Mix”. I’m not sure if I’ll do it every week but I have been wanting to share with you guys a round-up of just some little things that I run across online. It’s all random stuff that I want to try or that just makes me smile. I hope that you’ll be inspired (or smile) too..
I’m calling today’s weekend mix the “Fancy Edition” because we are all obsessed over here with Iggy Azalea’s song “Fancy”. I know you guys have all probably heard it but have you had the chance to see the father/daughter YouTube lipsync video? It’s so fun and my daughter and I have watched it probably 100 times. Here it is if you haven’t seen it:
Our new line around the house is “I’m So Fancy”, so when I saw this fun pillow from House of Belonging, I had to giggle and yes, we are ordering one for sure:

Not sure if I’ll get around to it this weekend but I can’t wait to try this Raspberry Limoncello Prosecco cocktail from one of my favorite food bloggers, Damn Delicious. I lived off of Prosecco when I was in Italy last fall and what a great idea to turn it into a summer cocktail with fruit and other liquors:

I also can’t wait to test out this yummy sounding recipe for seared scallops with a garlic butter soy sauce marinade from Just One Cookbook:

By the way, I just discovered Nami’s blog, Just One Cookbook and I absolutely love it. So many great recipes and ideas with such a creative twist. She has a whole section of recipes that are 30 minutes are less as well, which is such a great idea.
If you love floral and color inspiration, Ella Bella Floral and Wedding Design has one of the most inspiring blogs I have seen. Their arrangements are “so fancy” (ha) and the color combinations are really unique and different. This combination of pinks and oranges is one of my favorites:

Have a great fancy weekend!!

Oh, what a wonderful idea, and the photos are so enticing!
Here is a fancy summer dessert: raspberry sorbet, drizzled with about 1 TBSP of rosewater (which you can buy at Middle Eastern markets, or sometimes in a pharmacy, or Crabtree & Evelyn), served with thin, thin cookies. Yum-o!

You always inspire me! I am still stuck on painting some furniture with Velvet Finishes paint, I have the chip chart and a few furniture pieces, I just can’t decide on a color(s). If you are ever in Colorado… 🙂
