I thought today I would share some of my favorite organization ideas that have run across on the Internet. Maybe you’ve got a reorganization project that you need to tackle this summer {I know I have several}. So today, let’s get organized! Â Hopefully something you see here today will inspire us or at least help with a little direction.
One of my favorite organization ideas {not too mention brilliant} is this amazing playroom storage bench idea from Jen from the fantastic blog called I Heart Organizing:
Jen created this gorgeous seating area by using $59.00 Ikea bookshelves turned on its side!! She found beautiful lime green baskets to store tons of toys for her playroom! Â Isn’t that brilliant! Â Jen provides all of the details of this project on her fantastic organizational blog that you can find here.
By the way, if you love organization printables, Jen’s your girl! Â Check her page with all of the free organization printables and she also has an ETSY store filled with a lot of printable goodies.
Another playroom or kid’s organizational idea that I love are these adorable spray painted plastic animal containers shared by House to Home UK:
If you spend much time on other blogs or on Pinterest, you’ve probably already seen these fun jars but I just had to include them because I think they are such a wonderful idea for store small kid items. Â What an amazing idea to spray paint small plastic animals and attach to the lids. Â I can’t wait to do this project with my daughter! Â For the details of this project, you can check it out at House to Home UK here.
Another great way to store kid’s toys and pretty much anything else is using these great flea market metal baskets from one of my favorite kid’s stores, Land of Nod:
I just love these baskets and I they are a great way to store things, especially kid’s toys where they can just toss it in the basket! Â I think I’ll be ordering a couple of these myself for my garage.
Speaking of the garage, I found this great idea for storing stuff on old bookshelves using metal buckets from Kelli at Random Thoughts From a Supermom:
This is such a great idea and I see old bookshelves like this all of the time at my local thrift store. Â Of course those metal buckets can be found at Lowe’s or Home Depot for a few dollars. Â Kelli has inspired me! Â I think I will be trying this! Â For more details, you can see Kelli’s project on her blog Random Thoughts of a Supermom.
I have several closet reorganization projects on my list for this summer and I just love this idea from Lucky Magazine for creating additional handbag and bag storage by adding hooks to a credenza or shelving unit:
This is a fantastic way to store and easily display handbags, totes and clutches. Â I may need to do something like this in my daughter’s room for all of her little accessories, dress up clothes and doll stuff. Â Such a great idea. Â You can go to Lucky Magazine for all of the details on where to get this piece and how to retrofit it.
By the way, if you’re looking for a little motivation or help in reorganizing any of your closets, you may want to check out this post I did about a year ago where I shared step by step tips and tricks to organizing a closet. Â I even created a printable worksheet to help guide people through the process. Surprisingly, it’s turned out to be my most popular post to date.
You can go to that post by clicking the picture below:
Next up, I really like this idea for adding wheels to a metal trash bin and storing wrapping paper from Benita at Chez Larsson:
Benita has a great tutorial for this project and a lot of other great projects and ideas on her beautiful blog Chez Larsson.
There are so many fantastic organizational ideas and tips in blogland, shared by some of the most organized {and creative} people that you could ever run across.  If you are looking for more of these ideas, you can visit my Organize! Pinterest Board where I have pinned many of these great ideas.
Also, if you looking for ways to better organize your time, you may be interested in this free printable “To Do” list that I posted a few weeks ago if you happened to miss it:
Well friends, I hope you’ve seen something here today that will help you, or at least help with a little direction with a reorganization project that is nagging at you. Â It’s not easy getting started or dedicating any time to organizing but it sure is nice when it’s all done.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Cheers!
