Welcome to Part 2 of my 2018 Salt Lake City Parade of Homes recap. Be sure and check out part 1 here if you happened to miss it last week!
One of our favorite homes in this year’s parade was called the “Pablo”, which was built by Regal Homes. This home was a beautifully open and designed 5,600 square foot that we really loved! We especially loved the huge open kitchen.
Notice the glass enclosed shelving at the very top of the cabinets. Such a great use of space but giving it an open shelving feel. We LOVED this idea!
The Regal Homes people were so kind tell me that the cabinet paint color is Sherwin Williams Acier (SW9170). The color is so pretty and perfect for this space!
Off the kitchen was the cutest little breakfast/kids nook area with beautiful open shelving for toys, books, etc..
The Regal parade home incorporated wonderfully smart kids bedroom ideas including this twin room with a mural of sheet music. Such a cute idea!
We also loved the idea of using a metal decorative room divider as a headboard in this fun girl’s bedroom.
The master bathroom in the Pablo home was so pretty and we loved the extra long vanity for storage.
The Pablo parade home was located in a gorgeous new development by Regal Homes overlooking Salt Lake.
Another fantastic open parade home that we toured was built by Oakwood Homes in the South Jordan area. This was a beautiful Oakwood community with multiple model homes that were amazing!
I loved the color palette in this home of the greige mixed with black and white.
Most of the homes in the parade had open kitchens but I thought the Oakwood home really was open in such a functional way that was very well designed and smart.
The tall ceilings really make such a huge difference and this home would be great for entertaining!
I also loved the marble tile backsplash in the kitchen. Isn’t it beautiful?!
Off the kitchen was a small mudroom.
The master bedroom in the Oakwood home had that rich dark painted focal wall that I mentioned that I have been seeing so much of this great design idea. The wall color is Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal.
We will be sharing more from Oakwoods Homes in the coming weeks because they had five beautiful model homes in addition to their parade home. There were so many great design ideas in these home that I’m going to dedicate a full post to these homes.
We saw a lot of beautiful wood floors throughout the parade and I especially loved the white oak floors in The Building Group Home (The Tavern):
The office in The Building Group Home was to the right as you walked in and it was absolutely stunning. Again we see another stunning accent wall painted in a deep dark color (Benjamin Moore Kendall Charcoal).
Last but not least, there were two amazing homes designed by one of my favorite Utah builders, Magleby Construction that were designed by Simons Design Studio that I will be dedicating a post to share these homes with you. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek of Magleby Grand View home.
The cedar barrel ceiling was absolutely mind blowing in this home!
Isn’t this wallpaper stunning?!
I can’t wait to share more of the Magleby Homes with you guys next week! Both homes were so inspiring and Simons Design Studio did an amazing job with the design work.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the Utah Valley Parade of Homes recap, be sure and check it out for more beautiful ideas and inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Cheers!

Cindy –
Loved the Oakwood parade as I shared with you .
I was wondering if there is anyway to find out the color and brand of the floor they used ??
Loved that floor
Thanks Nancy

They did not have a spec sheet for the home and when I ask, they didn’t know. However, if you contact them directly, maybe they could tell you. The guy working the parade home was young (maybe like the builder’s son?) and he didn’t have any details or information. It’s a really cool new community with multiple model homes, so I bet they must have a design center or something and someone there would know. If you find out, please let me know. 🙂
