Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the Better Homes and Gardens Magazine 2016 Stylemaker event in New York City. I have been so excited to share the pictures and details with you guys because it was such a fun day loaded with so much creative inspiration.

The Stylemaker event is a celebration of the annual Better Homes and Gardens Magazine September “Stylemaker” issue. Â Each year, BHG invites 60-70 bloggers from around the country to attend the day event and evening cocktail party. Â This is the 3rd year that I have attended the event. It’s always so fun to catch up with my old blogging friends, meet new bloggers and connect with the BHG team.
(Below) My friend Megan from Honey We’re Home and I talking about Texas with BHG Editor-in-Chief Stephen Orr.
It was extra special for me this year because this last year, I started contributing monthly for BHG online.  It was so nice to connect with the editors and the BHG team that I have been working with this last year (My BHG articles are found here).
This year, the Stylemaker event was held at the Gramercy Park Hotel NYC.  The combination of the hotel’s decor mixed with BHG’s Stylemaker decorations were incredible!
This lightbulb installation in one of the rooms was so mind blowing! Yes those are all light bulbs!
Crate and Barrel was one of the sponsors of the event and they decorated this space for the event with the blue sofas, rugs and decor. Stunning!
I love the way they layered the candles on the mantle in various sized glass containers.
When you walked out of the cool “lightbulb room” room, it led to a breathtaking enclosed roof top terrace that went all the way around the top of the building.  Right through the door, we were greeted with this amazing living moss/plant “Stylemaker” photo wall that was created by Planted Design for us to take pictures.
Of course, we couldn’t resist and took lots of pics and did a silly “Boombah” video that I can’t figure out how to add here.

Getting a good laugh watching the fun video that we made.
The event began with networking and a welcome from Stephen Orr, BHG Editor-in-Chief.
Leave it to BHG to make sure that in every corner there were beautiful flowers, yummy treats all so creatively styled and layered.
Loved the turned over wine crate and sandwiches served on cutting boards.
How creative is the suitcase idea for elevating food on a buffet! Â Notice the typewriter and crate for dishes! Â Love the basket idea turned on the side filled with fruit. So many creative ideas!
The day was full of creative mini-workshops, networking and creative panel discussions. One of my favorite discussions was with Grace Bonney from Design Sponge.
At the end of the day, Padma Lakshmi from Top Chef talked to us about her thoughts on creativity and her new book called The Encyclopedia of Spices & Herbs.
After Padma spoke, we had a break to catch up and change our clothes, while the roof top terrace was transformed into a cocktail party.

It was such a fun day catching up with everyone and having the opportunity to attend the Stylemaker event. So much creativity, ideas and inspiration! Thank you so much BHG!!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Cheers!
