Today’s Top 5 Holiday Entertaining Shortcuts brought to you today by EVITE® and Harry & David
I love entertaining during the holidays and today, I wanted to share some great shortcuts and tips for entertaining during the holidays that can help you save time, make it easy on yourself and help create a festive and beautiful holiday gathering.
Make a List
The best way to get started and organize all your ideas for your gathering is by starting a list for all aspects of your gathering. This is really the key to staying one step ahead and making sure you cover all the details and stay organized. Check out this free printable Essential Holiday Checklist for really great tips and things to think about as you plan your event. Â
You can also keep a running to-do lists on your smart phone (in the note app) to help you keep up with any last-minute tasks and add any important details that you need to remember. Â I do this all of the time because I usually forget my to-do list at home and I always have my phone with me.
Order Decorations and Supplies Online
You can save yourself a lot of time by ordering your decor items and supplies online. A garland of fresh greenery, such as this Holiday Magnolia Garland from Harry & David, makes a beautiful and creative table runner and centerpiece.  This is such a quick and easy way to dress up a table without a lot of effort. Â
Even better yet, you can use your party decor like this fresh garland all the way through the holidays and into the New Year festivities.
Order Wine, Appetizers and Sweet Treats Online
Another quick way to check off items off of your to-do list (and make it easy on yourself) is by ordering your wine, appetizers and sweet treats online.
Did you also know that Harry & David is carrying great wines? Oh yes, celebrate in style with 12 bottles of Harry & David wines, such as their award-winning Pinot Noir. Â Whatever you don’t use for your gathering, you have extra great wines to give as gifts.
Decorate with Fresh Fruit
I talk a lot about decorating with fresh fruit for the holidays because there are just so many creative ways to use beautiful fresh fruit. One of my favorite creative uses it to turn fruit into place cards.  Fruit like pears, featuring a strip of paper with a guest’s name on it can be attached with paper to the stem.  A straight pin can be used if the the stem is too short. Â
A tray filled with fruit mixed with Christmas greenery and hurricane candles is a quick and easy way to create a stunning and fresh arrangement to greet guests at an entry way table.Â
Fill Your Home with Candles
Give your home a beautiful and instant holiday glow with candles. When it comes to entertaining, you can never have enough. Â A quick holiday candle trick is to add votive candles to round vases along with a handful of mini round ball ornaments or jingle bells. Â You can also do this same idea with taller glass candles and candle holders for even more drama.Â
Now that you know these entertaining shortcuts and how easy holiday entertaining can be, there’s no excuse not to plan a party.
