Hey guys! It’s Claire from Claire Brody Designs, and I’m back to share another DIY idea and a round-up of some really cute last minute Valentine’s Day ideas.
Before I jump into my DIY Valentine’s Day garland, I thought I would share a couple links to some great Valentine’s Day ideas that we found in Blogland.

Today I’m sharing a fun and easy way to add some Valentine’s decor to your table or party with this rose garland:
Last weekend I attended a Bachelorette party and since it was in Austin (where I live), I was in charge of providing the flowers. I went with hot pink roses and tulips to go with the Kate Spade inspired theme. It was all super cute, and I snuck the blooms back to my house after the weekend.
I wanted to come up with a way to repurpose the flowers after the party. They were still in okay shape, but I wanted to give them a second chance if you know what I’m sayin. I found this banner in my craft box and decided to make a DIY flower banner. With Valentine’s Day coming up (tomorrow, what?!) I thought some of you might have left over blooms after the holiday. This project took me about 5 minutes and really brightened our apartment!
As I mentioned, I already had the banner (found it at Target), but it could also be made with string and card stock paper.
First I cut the stems of the roses to about 3″.
I used Washi tape to attach a rose to each flag.
I got a little carried away. I blame Pinterest for attaching a flower banner to the back of our chair.
I had left over flowers after the banner so I put together mini bouquets. I used a napkin to wrap them up and taped a tag to the front. These would be so cute to hand out to friends!
I hope this inspires you to give your Valentine’s flowers a second life!!
xoxo, Claire
