I recently stopped by my local store to pick up some items for organizing the linen closet (more on that in a minute) and I was so excited to see this new cane storage furniture collection in blue, black and cream that had just arrived at the store. These are such fantastic storage pieces in person and they are absolutely gorgeous:
1)Arctic Blue 6-Drawer Storage Chest (on sale today) $183.99
2)Blue Cane Storage Console (on sale today) $143.99
3)Antique Blue Storage Chest (on sale today ) $95.99
This collection is one of the best I have seen Kirkland’s do and they could work in any room. I just love that they are doing some cane pieces, which are usually super expensive. By the way, there are other colors and more styles from this collection.
I also spotted a new beautiful collection of upholstered linen that would be perfect at the end of the bed or in a family room for extra storage. I love this Spice Linen Storage Bench and it’s a great price at $169.00:
So on to my linen closet project…
I recently revamped my linen closet at our beach house using Kirkland’s storage pieces and I can’t wait to show you how pretty it came together. I premise this by telling you that this linen closet is where all of our guests go for extra towels, washcloths, soaps, sunscreen and extra blankets, when they’re visiting us at the beach. It was in bad shape and for years, I have wanted to organize this closet because everyone sees it and uses it.
So let me show you how pretty it turned out:
I used the Kirkland’s Blue Wire Stacking Basket to help keep the washcloths and hand towels in one place, so guest can just quickly go right to what they need. Those pretty Aqua Monogrammed Washcloths (set of 6) came from Kirkland’s too!:
I put all of the extra bath products in this perfect sized Woven Seagrass and Wood Basket and also used the damask storage box for storing extra toilet paper:
I have used Kirkland’s garden planters and urns for years for organizing and I used this beautiful Fleurs Garden Planter for storing soaps. I also used the linen lid (turned over) from the damask storage box to make a little tray for all of the extra soaps and bath products. Gosh, even the lids on Kirkland’s boxes are pretty enough to turn into trays!
I’m using these Blue Damask Fabric Storage Bins for sunscreen and extra toiletries:
I am so excited that all of the pieces that I picked up from Kirkland’s turned this boring closet into something so pretty but organized. These pieces would be perfect for organizing a clothing closet, bathroom or even an office. They are so universal and can work anywhere you are looking to get organized.
So below are all of the pieces that I used to pull this closet together. Keep in mind that many of these storage pieces come in multiple sizes (usually small, medium and large), so you can find matching pieces easily for maximizing space:
1) Blue Damask Storage Box with Lid (Large) $15.99
2) Aqua Monogram Washcloths (set of 6) $10.99
3) Fleurs Wire Garden Urn (on sale today) $6.97
4) Blue Wire Stacking Basket (on sale today) $7.97
5) Woven Seagrass and Wood Basket (on sale today) $9.99
6) Blue Damask Fabric Storage Bins- $14.99
I have noticed that a couple of these pieces are sold out online but I checked with Kirkland’s and they told me that often times things can be sold out online but are still available in the stores. Also, they have many different patterns and colors so if one color is sold out online, look around because they have so many great options and sizes.
Thanks for stopping by today and thank you so much to Kirkland’s!

I love all these ideas, especially the wire baskets! The storage bench is great! Would love to see other colors, but it seems the link is broken.
Cyndy says
So sorry Shelley! The link is fixed now! We had a little technical glitch this morning and you can see all of the storage benches (linen and cane) here: http://www.kirklands.com/catalog/search_sp.cmd?form_state=searchForm&q=storage+benches&x=34&y=10
Thanks so much for stopping by!

FYI:
I went to Kirkland’s website just a little earlier and everything I wanted was sold out online and then I just started checking for similar items and they also were sold out online. I hope they will put more online or this might be an electronic issue; however, I was able to order wire storage baskets – this was the only thing of the 4 I wanted available online. Luckily I am very close to a store but not everyone will have that option.
Thanks
Cyndy says
Oh no Debbie! I will check with Kirkland’s to see if there was a glitch in their inventory. However, every time something has been sold out online, I have run to my local store and was able to find it. Hate for you to have to make a trip, but, you will probably be able to find all of the items on your list. Thanks a bunch for stopping by Debbie!

I would buy some pillows and some of those fabric storage bins like you have to store my off season clothes in my closet.
VickiGene says
My linen closet is smaller than a phone booth (remember those?). After seeing what can be accomplished with more room, I’m working on a plan to relocate my linen closet. This would give us more room in our bathrooms, etc. because we keep our towels stocked in each bathroom; there are extra sheets and blankets in each bedroom; change of season bedspreads; extra shower curtains, etc. I guess our linen closet is the catch-all for extras.
With your system from Kirkland’s, everything could be in one place. No more missing pillowcases!
Now, what shall I do with that tiny phone booth with four shelves?
Rhonda says
I love, love, love your blog and Kirkland’s! I would buy the spice storage bench.
