Happy Friday friends and welcome to another Friday Favorites!
We’ve been talking about paint so much over the last few weeks on Friday Favorites, that I guess I have ended up with a little painting series that I didn’t set out to do. I have loved all of your comments and emails. Â I never realized until I started writing about how I narrow down paint colors just how much difficulty some people have with finding and choosing colors. Â I hope that some of the information that I have shared or am sharing today will help make the process a little easier.
Several people have asked me about where they can find more paint color inspiration online and I thought I would share some fantastic resources today. Â Before I jump into my favorite resources for paint inspiration, I thought I would just take a minute to post the link to the previous paint posts for those who may have missed the previous posts.
We started things off with:
This post is about tips and tricks for how to narrow down paint colors by changing the focus and going through the automatic process of eliminating colors, shades and tones that we don’t like to get to our ideal color easier and faster.
A few weeks later, I shared this post on Friday Favorites:
In this post I shared some of my favorites painting tips and products to use to help with ensuring that your painting project comes out beautifully. Â If you are planning on painting cabinets or furniture, you will not want to miss some of the products I talked about in that post that can help greatly with these finishes.
Ok, so now on to this week’s Friday Favorites!
I wanted to share some amazing online tools to help you find your ideal paint color. Â There are so many paint color choices out there and trying to figure out where to start when you’re thinking about painting a room can be overwhelming. Â If you know you’re ready to paint but you’re not quite sure what paint color you want, you need some inspiration. Â Here is my list of my favorite places to go online to find paint colors, and color palettes:
The Benjamin Moore website in my opinion is one of the best places you could go online to begin looking for paint color inspiration.  These guys have done a great job with their website!  My favorite section to go to first is where they share their bestselling paint colors first.  This is great info because if its a bestseller for them, the color is probably pretty fabulous!  There are tons of colors to look at in the best selling section and below is an example of one of their bestselling colors:
Bleeker Beige {Benjamin Moore Paint}
Here’s a picture that I found from Houzz of Bleeker Beige on a wall:
You can also look at the most searched colors on the Benjamin Moore Website!  Yep, another great spot to start looking for colors!  If a color is getting search a lot, it’s probably a good one.  Another one of my favorite sections is where decorators have shared their favorite paint colors. I can’t think of a better place to get paint inspiration than from Candice Olson! Candace has shared more than 60 of her favorite go Benjamin Moore go to paint colors in this section as well:
You can even purchase the fan deck of Candace’s paint color pictures if you’re interested in the paint cards. Â One of my favorite colors from Candace’s paint picks is:
Dark Olive {Benjamin Moore Paint}
Here is a picture of the Benjamin Moore Dark Olive on a wall:
There are so many other great sections that I haven’t listed that you can look through on the Benjamin Moore Website for paint inspiration.
My next stop for online paint inspiration is the Better Homes and Garden Color Finder:
This is another fantastic online resource for finding paint color inspiration. The Better Homes and Garden Color Finder is online tool that is so cool!  It allows you to pick a room and choose all the coordinating colors in the space and when you’re done, it will tell you the exact paint colors that you picked out!  How cool is that?!? But wait, it gets even better!  You can upload a photo of the space you want to paint and then you can choose your colors and see the choices in your own space!  Brilliant!  They have plenty of rooms to choose from if you don’t want to upload a photo but this is such a great resource for finding paint color inspiration.
There is also a section in the BHG Color Finder where the editors have picked out their favorite paint color palettes, which is another great resource for paint inspiration coming straight from the people who know home color trends best:

You will definitely find more paint color inspiration and ideas than you can imagine on the Better Homes and Garden Color Finder section and being able to see trim paint, wall paint and ceiling paint coordinated together is a huge help.
Pinterest is another one of my favorites but using it in a way that you may not be familiar with.  Did you know that you can search almost any paint color and you will pull up rooms painted in that exact color?  It’s been a great resource for me when I run across a paint card or color but want to see color on a wall or in a space.  Rarely do I search a paint color and come back with no results!
Let me show you an example of how you can use Pinterest for help in choosing paint colors.  Last night, on The Creativity Exchange Facebook page, I asked readers to share with me their favorite paint color.  Readers told me the name and brand of their favorite color and I found images of rooms painted in everyone’s favorite color right on pinterest. Kathleen said that she loved Benjamin Moore November Rain.  I searched “November Rain, Benjamin Moore” and tons of various images came up with various rooms paint in November Rain.  This one was my favorite:
Melissa said that she is loving Benjamin Moore Gunmetal right now. So I searched it on Pinterest and this was one of my favorite images that came up:
Arlene said that her favorite is Benjamin Moore Nantucket Gray:
Using the Pinterest search feature to find images of rooms painted in a particular color is such a huge help in seeing colors in action versus on a paint card. Â By the way, you don’t have to be registered on Pinterest to use the search feature. If you are a user on Pinterest, you can also find paint inspiration on my “Paint Color” Pinterest Board found here. I have been collecting images of spaces with the names of the paint color written below each image.
Ok, so there you have it! Â I’m pretty sure you’ll find something that you like by visiting the amazing resources that I have mentioned today. Â If you have a favorite paint color that you want to share with us {the more options, the better} , feel free to share it with us in the comment section following the post! Â Please be sure and leave the brand name too!
Wow! Â I think we’ve covered all things paint with this little impromptu painting series. I really hope that something in one of these posts can make your next painting project just a little easier!
Thank you so much for hanging out with me today on Friday Favorites! Â I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Cheers!
