If you’ve been following along with me for awhile, you have probably figured out that I have a slight obsession with snack mixes. Sweet and salty ones especially. I love the snack mixes because not only are they are great way to mix up sweet and salty goodness but seasonal snack mixes are fun to wrap up in treat bags and give as sweet gifts. Today, I’m sharing our recipe for sweet and salty spring snack mix.
Some of you guys may remember my Christmas and Fall versions:
If I can find 4th of July candy corn, I’ll have all seasons covered! Ha!
My favorite thing to use is in the mix is candy corn. It use to be that I had to wait a whole year for my candy corn fix but a couple weeks ago, a reader sent me an email to tell me she found spring candy corn (she knows me well). So I hunted down the spring candy corn in my town ( I could almost smell it!) and created a new snack mix for spring. I seriously think it’s the best one yet!
By the way, if you tried the fall snack mix, this one is almost identical except there are no big pumpkin candy corns or caramel corn. The Cheddar Chex mix mixed with the candy corn and Reece’s eggs are out of this world!
Ok, so here is the closeup of the mix so you can see all these yummies (sorry for the temptation..)
Here is the recipe;
Sweet and Salty Spring Snack Mix
1 Pound Easter/Spring Candy Corn (I found two brands Brachs and Zachary)
1- 8.75 ounce Cheddar Chex Mix
3- Small containers of Reeses Pieces Eggs (I couldn’t find them in a bag. All I could find is these small little milk container things)
1-16 ounce container of Planter’s Cocktail Peanuts
1- Bag of Pastel Colored Milk Chocolate M&M’s (No ounces are listed on the bag- it’s not the massive family size bag but the average size-It’s a light blue bag) (By the way, I’m obsessed with the coconut ones too!)
You just mix everything together and it makes a large standard kitchen bowl full:
If you store the mix in an air tight container, the mix will last for weeks!
Happy snacking!
Cheers!

Yay! I made your Christmas mix when I hosted Bunko. Think I’ll make this one for the Easter gathering. The colors are fun.

Today I found Brach’s candy corn, red white and blue for July 4th. Just FYI! I plan to put together a snack mix with white yogurt covered pretzels, red M&MS and some sort of cereal/nuts.
